Natalia L. Zorrilla Sirlin

Welcome!

I’m Natalia Zorrilla Sirlin, FIAS Fellow at the IHRIM-Collegium de Lyon. I work as Assistant Researcher at CONICET and Adjunct Professor of History of Early Modern Philosophy II at the University of Business and Social Sciences (currently on leave). I hold a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires.

My research has focused on the nature and diffusion of radical philosophical ideas during the eighteenth-century and the French Enlightenment. In my doctoral thesis, I examined various forms of atheism in Sade’s libertine novels; my postdoctoral research dealt with clandestine philosophical literature that promoted “incredulity”.

I’m currently studying the works of early modern women philosophers, concentrating on Émilie Du Châtelet.
